Quickie Update
Dear friends: I’ve been throwing quickie updates on Facebook and Instagram for folks, simply because that medium takes less thought and very easy to do with minimal bandwidth. A weak cell signal is all that’s needed to post. A good blog post, on the other hand, takes more time and more bandwidth. Still, I highly value my blog readers and I didn’t think you should be missing out when I throw the quickie updates on Facebook and Instagram. So I am repeating here on this blog what I put on Facebook and Instagram, even though they are a little more simplistic than my other posts. I will simply mark these posts “Quickie Updates.” P.S. I will still write my other blog posts.
Got into Eidsvold, Queensland. Settled into Eidsvold Caravan Park, where I set up my tent and then got a nice hot shower. After that, as I like to do, I went to find the town pub, where I got a nice ice cold beer.
Before heading off to the pub, however, I went to pay for my stay at the caravan park. Somehow, the park manager and I got to talking about my ride. With that, he extended his hand to shake my hand and said, “You deserve a good rest here. Your stay is free.”
